8 months old

Another month down! We are now 8 months old.

Zoya has started crawling all over the place. She first started crawling backwards and then started going forwards. The next week she was on all her fours and cruising all around the house. Its so much fun being able to move on your own. You don't have to cry out and call to Mumma when I need something, better still I can now go to her and let her know what I want. Mumma typically gets it within 2 or three tries as to what I am trying to tell her so I am getting better that this. Zara is still just sitting. She has started lying down on her belly getting ready to crawl but then gets stuck and cant sit up so she cries. Zara also tries to crawl but she spreads her legs so wide apart and doesn't get anywhere, maybe a little backwards if at all.

We haven't been getting along much these days. Zoya is always out and about and leaves Zara behind. Yup that doesn't leave a happy Zara behind and we sure get into it when we get a chance. I think all those pictures of us holding hands and showing love that Mumma took will be the only pictures she has of us like that. We love fighting over our toys and climbing over each other. Hey! Sometimes its the shortest path!

We also have taken a new fancy into reading books and have a lot of fun. Mom gets super happy when we read! She has some pictures as proof! I hope this doesnt come back to bite us later on!

This month we went to our first birthday party. It was Mahin's 3rd birthday. We had a really good time. We took some group pictures and then just met Mummas friends. We were having a good time but it got over so quickly. We sure didn't want to leave and threw a baby tantrum when Mumma tied putting us in the car seat. Hahaha we were just giving her a taste of what is yet to come!

Here are some pictures from our 8 month.

Mamu Came to Visit

Gagan Mamu came to visit us from India. We are loving having family come and see us as it always means that we get gifts and more gifts. OK ...we love seeing our family too. Gagan Mamu was here to spend the weekend with us and we had quite a good time with him.

Zara, or as Mamu calls her, Golu Singh impressed mamu right away as she was having those two days of "mamamamamamaa" coming out of her mouth. Zoya on the other hand got Mamu gooogoogaga over her crawling and her exploration antics. Mom says we are manipula....something something. NAAAAH  we don't think so.... we just know what will melt everyone's hearts and get everyone smiling. Now whats wrong with that?

We though although Mamu's trip was short, we would really show him what being a mamu was all about so between Zoya and Zara Mamu got peed on and witnessed and explosive popo diaper.

We spent some quality time with Mamu. We had a BBQ outside, we went for dinner and got dressed in the pretty white dresses that Mamu got for us. Yup ...you guessed it...we had a mini photo shoot and lastly we just hung out and chilled. We love you Mamu and had a great weekend...but your trip was way to short!
Chilling outside for the BBQ

Wait...she's getting away!
Cheers!

Now its Zara's turn to drink!

On the swings

Since we are now older we decided it was time for some more fun. We needed to go on the swings. After much convincing and showing Mumma and Papa that we could sit, they finally agreed to take us to a park near the house. We had an amazing time! All that hard work in perfecting and showing off our sitting positions was sooo worth it!

Initially we swang by ourselves and at first we were a little scared but then decided we were better off together in this one. We do know how to reap the benefits of being twins. We were so far off the floor and no Mumma and Papa that we could grab onto. If we fell off here it was a long way down. Together we were comfortable and snug and since we watched all the other kids we saw how they were doing it. Soon enough were were being pushed must faster and higher by Mumma.

We enjoyed the swings so much that we got Dadi to come along and see the fun the next time.  Here are some pictures of us at the swings.

Zara enjoying the swing and holding on for dear life

Hey Look Zara we are waay off the ground!

This is scary but fun! We are in this together sis!

Life is good!

Hey -- I like this now!

Always together on the swings- there is always safety in numbers!

Oh...my......a little scary!!! But we got each others back!

Looks like Dadi is having more fun than us.

Wheeeeeeeeee....down the slide I go!
